Chateau D'Esclans 'Whispering Angel' Rose 2017 MAGNUM

From the very beginning (ex Mouton Rothschild) winemaker Patrick Léon crafted a lighter style of rosé, and this very much errs on the side of being fresh, clean, mineral with a white peach expression. The style has been very closely maintained over the past 10 years, even as the grape sourcing has grown exponentially. This is unoaked, vinified in stainless steel tanks, kept chilled at every stage of the process. From a blend of Grenache, Rolle, Cinsault and Syrah, all hand-harvested. Easy to see why this works so well. 91 Points Decanter

L'Aumerade, Cuvée Marie-Christine Cotes de Provence Rosé 'Cru Classe' 2017

This is a 'Cru Classe' Rose. Soft - light pink in colour. Very aromatic nose dominated by fresh fruit and flavors of grenadine. A full bodied and fruity but dry rosé goes well with Mediterranean and Asian cuisines. If you indulge in Rose's the like of Ott, D'Esclan etc, this will sit well in your spectrum.

Chateau de L'Aumerade, Cotes de Provence 'Marie Christine' Rose 2015 JEROBOAM 3L
Exuberant bouquet of exotic fruits (lychee) with muscat notes and a hint of honey. Complex aromas of great finesse. On the palate, rich aromatics with a remarkable roundness. Coats the palate, sublime. Very high persistence, aromatique. Recommended as an aperitif, with beautiful fish- butter sauce, goat cheese and dry pastries. Profound!
Chateau de L'Aumerade Cotes de Provence Rose 2017
Pale pink with shades of salmon. The nose is classic 'Southern France'. Literally sunshine in a bottle. The perfect rosé for each day of your life. To be enjoyed chilled as an aperitif, or with grilled meats and salads.
Marion Amarone Valpolicella 2013
Amarone is a wine that consists of 100% dried grapes. They are picked of the vine then dried on straw mats for minimum 3 months. This concentrates the flavours and offers a truly unique blend of dark fruit flavours with warm spices. An Icon wine of Italy. 10% of local grape Croatina has been added to this fulsome 16% alcohol blend of Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella, giving a darker, polished, more compact coffee bean and richly succulent by dry wine.
Vocoret 'Le Bas de Chapelot' Chablis 2016

The 2016 Chablis Bas de Chapelot has been in used barrels since March. It has a lovely bouquet, quite intense with subtle orange rind scents infusing the cold wet stone aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with good concentration on the entry and a fine line of acidity. This is not a complex Chablis but it does come replete with a spicy finish. I will be modest with my score for now as I discern more promise with respect to the premier cru Butteaux. Neal Martin, Wine Advocate 88-90/100

Domaine du Bagnol Rose Cassis 2017
This rosé comes from a handful of parcels in the tiny appellation of Cassis, a stand alone appellation within Provence, that totals seven hectares of vineyards planted in clay and limestone soils, on a gentle north-northwest-facing slope. Grenache-dominated, with smaller percentages of Mourvedre and Cinsault. Like the Cassis Blanc, the wine is taut, fresh and slightly saline. The winery makes only a small quantity of this, making this extremely hard to find, but its deliciousness makes it highly sought after.

The 2016 rosé has a pale cherry color with a slight copper tinge. It is full-bodied and well structured, with fresh red berry fruit, tart apple skin, and notes of spice and dried herbs. As usual, it is a blend of 41% Grenache, 33% Mourvedre, and 26% Cinsault all of which is direct-press juice.   The color is a bit lighter than last year’s, but the wine has a bit more power behind it.
