Chateau Rauzan-Segla, Margaux 2004
The 2004 Rauzan-Segla is superior to the 2003, offering a deep ruby/purple hue in addition to a flowery, mineral-infused, sweet black fruit, cherry, and subtle oak-scented bouquet. Medium-bodied, elegant, beautifully concentrated, and well-balanced in a classic, feminine style, it should drink well for 15+ years. ROBERT PARKER

Chateau Ausone, St Emilion 2004
An extraordinary effort, and a candidate for wine of the vintage, the 2004 Ausone boasts an inky/blue/purple color as well as a prodigious nose of crushed rocks, white flowers, sweet truffles, black raspberries, cherries, and graphite. Although possessing huge richness as well as medium to full body the historic terroir has also provided a surreal lightness to the wine’s impression. Beautiful flavors, sensational depth, and abundant structure suggest this 2004 will not be close to full maturity for 8-10 years. It should last for four decades. Anticipated maturity: 2015-2065. Chateau Boutisse Saint-Emillion Grand Cru 2002
A sleeper of the vintage this St Emilion exhibits a saturated purple colour in addition to a sweet bouquet of black cheery jam intermixed with earth and new wood. Nicely textured, pure, and ripe as well as elegant, it should drink well fro 7 - 10 years. Wine Spectator. This wine is on pour at Tetsuya's!!!

Chateau Branaire Ducru, St Julien 2005
As usual, the 2005 Branaire-Ducru is one of the more distinctive wines of St.-Julien. Proprietor Patrick Maroteaux has turned out another classic. While not as opulent or fleshy as the 2003, and it remains to be seen if it will eclipse the 2000, the 2005 is a big, structured, intensely rich effort with raspberry, blueberry, and spring flower garden characteristics, stunning purity, full-bodied power, and good underlying acidity as well as harmony. The hard tannins suggest 8-9 years of cellaring will be beneficial; it should last for three decades. Wine Advocate # 176 95 Points Drink: 2015 - 2030
