Chateau Ausone, St Emilion 2004
An extraordinary effort, and a candidate for wine of the vintage, the 2004 Ausone boasts an inky/blue/purple color as well as a prodigious nose of crushed rocks, white flowers, sweet truffles, black raspberries, cherries, and graphite. Although possessing huge richness as well as medium to full body the historic terroir has also provided a surreal lightness to the wine’s impression. Beautiful flavors, sensational depth, and abundant structure suggest this 2004 will not be close to full maturity for 8-10 years. It should last for four decades. Anticipated maturity: 2015-2065. Score: 94 Robert Parker, Wine Advocate (171), June 2007

Chateau Boutisse Saint-Emillion Grand Cru 2002
A sleeper of the vintage this St Emilion exhibits a saturated purple colour in addition to a sweet bouquet of black cheery jam intermixed with earth and new wood. Nicely textured, pure, and ripe as well as elegant, it should drink well fro 7 - 10 years. Wine Spectator. This wine is on pour at Tetsuya's!!!

Chateau Cheval Blanc, St Emilion 2000
100pt Parker wine! This closed, backward blend of 53% Merlot and 47% Cabernet Franc boasts a saturated purple color along with a reticent but striking bouquet of blackberries, blueberries, truffles, and mocha. In spite of its tightness, aeration reveals scents of licorice, menthol, and saddle leather. Opulent and full-bodied, with low acidity, sweet tannin, and a 60-second finish, it is unquestionably as profound as the 1990 and 1982. I still believe the 2000 has the potential to be the most compelling Cheval Blanc since the mythical 1947 and 1949, but patience is required. It should merit a three digit score in 7-10 years, but it is closed at present. Anticipated maturity: 2010-2030+. ROBERT PARKER

Chateau Monbousquet, St Emilion 2005
From a less than noble terroir in Saint-Sulpice de Faleyrens, Gerard Perse has accomplished miraculous things at Monbousquet. Prior to his acquisition of this property in the mid-nineties, this wine tasted like watered-down Beaujolais, but Perse has turned it into one of the more stunning, modern-styled wines of Bordeaux. A blend of approximately two-thirds Merlot, one-third Cabernet Franc and 8-10% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2005 exhibits plenty of toasty oak, roasted herb, meat juice, blackberry, cherry, and spice characteristics along with a touch of incense. Full-bodied and opulent, with an atypically rigid structure, this is a remarkable achievement for such a humble terroir. It admirably reflects Gerard Perse’s obsessive commitment to excellence. Look for this 2005 to hit its stride in 7-8 years, and last for 15-20. 95. ROBERT PARKER

Chateau St Georges, St Emillion 2005 MAGNUM 1.5L
First among equals, this genuine Château wine embodies all the qualities one has come to expect of the Saint-Emilion region: a long, frank flavour, an original savour, a pure deep purple hue and a broad, generous bouquet. Made by the proprietor himself using traditional slow and natural methods, bottled at the château, Château Saint-Georges, Saint-Georges Saint-Emilion stands apart for consistent quality and a great propensity for ageing, with each vintage bringing its own special nuances. How can we resist!

Chateau Troplong-Mondot, St Emilion 1er Grand Cru Classe 2005
This estate was justifiably elevated to a Premier Grand Cru Classe in the new St.-Emilion classification thanks to the exceptional efforts of proprietress Christine Valette over the last two decades. The 2005 is one of the monumental wines of the vintage, and may eclipse their prodigious 1990. Inky/blue/purple-colored with an exceptional bouquet of Asian spices, blueberries, blackberries, truffles, cold steel, graphite, and charcoal, it hits the palate with exceptional purity, laser-like precision, a compellingly concentrated, multilayered mouthfeel, a broad, savory texture, terrific acidity, and substantial, but sweet tannins. It lives up to everything it revealed in barrel, and appears set to live for a half century or more.Wine Advocate # 176 Apr 2008 Robert Parker 99 POINTS Drink: 2018 - 2050.
