2009/2010 hard pressings re-fermented with 2013 Shiraz. Foot trod, delicate extraction then 6 months in French & Hungarian hogs heads
Powerful black fruits with plenty of blueberry and violets. Soft subtle tannins, lovely acid - soft but present. Delicious!
A vibrant and complex cooler climate Sauvignon Blanc with excellent varietal definition. it exhibits tropical fruit flavours including punchy kiwi, passionfruit, grapefruit and melon. The palate is fresh and intense finishing long, lively and crisp. BIRD IN HAND
Lush, oaky and delish - 'Old school' styled chardu that's had the full treatment!
After 12 years of making this wine, we continue to see a structural and textural difference between our older vines and the younger block (planted 2000) and so we continue to make the ‘young vines riesling’, now identifiable to so many of our clients. 2015 was another small harvest at Crawford River but no lack of flavour.Delicate citrus flowers and lime zest lead this youthful wine. Only at the beginning of a long life, it shows fresh white stone fruit and chalky texture on the rounded palate. Clean, taut acidity balance the wine and contribute to its very good persistence. Crawford River
A 71/ 29% blend, wild yeast fermented, with no acid additions; 87% of the wine was matured for 5 months in French barriques (62% new). Follows in a long and proud tradition of exceptionally complex wines that rely on gentle persuasion, not brute force or, if you prefer, seduction rather than rape. The flavours are so attractive and mouthfilling now, it is easy to forget the wine will mature with grace for well over a decade. Screwcap. 12.5% alc. Drink to: 2025"- 97 Points James Halliday
A medium bodied, crimson Pinot with a bouquet of violets, black cherries and wild raspberry swirl as scents of undergrowth and pot pourri enhance complexity to form a rich, fragrant and savoury nose. A luscious energetic palate that is awash with fine tannin. Kirsch characters intersect with cocoa, black pepper all to be assuaged by swirls of vanillin spice that flourishes to a long lingering finish.
“Bright, clear, medium to full yellow colour, with a cashew-nutty bouquet which is attractive, pure and fresh, laced with honey, lemon and grapefruit. The palate's focus, searing intensity and freshness suggest it will age well and build in the bottle. Appealing spicy touches from the oak. Lovely wine, focused, concentrated and very long, with great potential.” Drink till 2026 96 Points Huon Hooke
