Opaque black dark purple red colour with deep dark purple red hue. The nose displays good intensity with very ripe notes of plummy raisin like characters, liquorice, dark chocolate and spice. The palate is full bodied and possesses good richness but lacks the depth of top vintages. Flavours of liquorice, black plum and dark chocolate followed by some Christmas cake like characters and spice. Fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of liquorice, black plum, Christmas cake and spice.
Drink over the next 3-4 years (2011-2015).
