Alvaro Palacios Camins del Priorat 2009
The 2009 Camins del Priorat is more perfumed than the 2008 as well as more structured. It offers up an alluring perfume of black cherry, plum, and blueberry. With structure and the fruit density to last at least a decade.

Chapoutier, Belleruche Rouge, 2007
The 2007 Cotes du Rhone Belleruche is a strong effort in this vintage from Michel Chapoutier. The wine is already delicious, showing notes of plum, black currant, and cherry in a straightforward, fruity style with good body and seductive aromatics. It is a blend of 80% Grenache and 20% Syrah and should drink well for 4-5 years. 88pt. Wine Advocate # 173

Domaine du Pegau, Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee Reserve 2008
“the 2008 Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee Reservee, which was harvested very late is a strong effort for the vintage. Tasting through four separate lots revealed that this wine should turn out as well as their 2004 or 2006. Plenty of pepper, roasted Provencal herb, lavender, licorice, and black fruit characteristics are present in this medium to fullbodied effort that is loaded with fruit. It should be surprisingly accessible for a wine from this estate in its exuberant youth, and is capable of lasting for 10‐15 years, an unusually long time for a 2008 Chateauneuf du Pape.” 89‐92pts The Wine Advocate # 185 October 2009 R. Greenock Cornerstone Grenache 2009
The classic fresh panforte aromas are here in abundance: minced fruits and nuts and dark spices. This is a more lissome, finer wine than many of its predecessors, but it is no less intense. Its tannins are classic, drawing and gravelly; black as carbon. 95++ points Philip White

Jauma Gramp Ant Grenache 2010
Fermented in a new French barrique with its head popped out with a portion of whole bunch this wine seeks for a broader, deeper, more structured palate working on the integration of fruit and oak tannins. Ironically this is the wine that most looks like pinot even though it carries the most evident new wood. JAMES ERSKINE

Mon Redon, Cotes du Rhone 2007
This is a perrenial favorite amongst staff and customers. Now onto the 06, it's right 'on song' as usually. A little more accessable than the 05 and as usual runs rings around Messers Guigal's equivalent!
