Ata Rangi Crimson Pinot Noir 2016
"94 Points. It isn’t the flagship pinot from Ata Rangi but boy is this a powerful wine. Impressive to say the least. This is muscular and dense, in a varietal context, with satsuma plum, steel, black cherry and campfire notes bleeding gradually into sweet spice and stem. It’s as intricate as it is integrated. It’s primed with tannin, all spicy and ripe, and it still manages to fan ample flavour out through the finish. It’s all quite remarkable, really. Tasted: Jul17 Alcohol: 13.5% Price: $38 Closure: Screwcap Drink: 2018 - 2024+"- Campbell Mattinson, The Wine Front.
Carrick, Pinot Noir (Central Otago, NZ) 2014
5 Stars & 95/100 Bob Campbell MW, Gourmet Traveller, June 2017 (2014 Vintage)"‚ÄčThis is the style of Carrick I remember from old and is certainly their best pinot noir I’ve tasted in a while. Lush, ripe wine with plum and spice flavours and a seductively silken texture. Delicious now."
Pegasus Bay, Pinot Noir 2013

95/100 Decanter "Plump, voluptuous and generous on the nose with mounds of crunchy red fruit. Nicely clean and fresh with an enchanting palate of sumptuous black plums and alluring rich spice."
