87-89 Points. The 2010 Bolaire was cropped at 37 hectoliters per hectare. An outstanding sleeper of the vintage, its unusual blend of 40% Petit Verdot, 35% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Sauvignon might raise a concern about tannin levels, but that does not appear to be a problem with this particular wine. A dense purple color along with sweet blueberry and black raspberry fruit and medium to full-bodied flavors transcend the appellation. Drink it over the next 4-5 years. Robert Parker
90-91Points. This is made from 40 percent Petit Verdot, with 35 percent Merlot and the rest in Cabernet Sauvignon. Old vines too! I really like the mineral, blackberry and licorice character. Full and chewy. Strong flavors here. James Suckling
In store tasting : ‘Here we step up with incredible intensity of colour thanks to the huge amount of Petite Verdot. This follows into the mouth with increased attack with almost a V like swathe cut through the palate. Exotic and spicy, excellent value on the wild side of entry level Bordeaux’.
