750ml Bottle, Cork closure
Hurley Vineyard is at 90 m altitude in the south-eastern lowland hills of the Peninsula in the sub-region formed by Balnarring and Merricks. It has a rainfall of about 750 mm annually. With 350 mm usually falling in the growing season, the low-yielding vines are not irrigated. This is beautiful terroir for growing Pinot Noir.Hurley Vineyard comprises three climats, being Lodestone, Hommage and Garamond, which wrap North, North-East and East respectively around the crest of a little volcanic hill. This favourable exposition, and the stony red-brown earth, provide the ideal terroir for highly expressive Pinot Noir, grown and made by Kevin Bell. Hurley Vineyard Pinot Noir 2017 'Estate' is a blend of barrels from each of the 3 climats. It was matured in French oak (1/4 new) for 20 months - bottled without fining or filtration.
