Young winemaker and friend of the Booze Brothers Justin Bubb packed his bags six years ago and headed to Italy to make wine in Peidmont and Tuscany. His major work there was with Costello di Gabbiano, Fosters Tuscan winery and the wines clearly improved out of site while he was there. When it was time to come home he brought with him a Pinot Grigio and a Sangiovese and has now expanded the range to include 2 wines from Sicily.
The stated BABO philosophy of purity and elegance is neatly reflected in this wine. The fruit forward cherry flavours show the winemaker's background, the chewy tannins the grape variety and the lower alcohol and higher acidity the region. A mix of old and new world that has produced an extremely drinkable wine.
