Marion Teroldego 2012

Marion produce tiny amounts and sell out every year after release however the importer put some away on reserve for us lucky few. Elizabeth Foradori is the ‘Godmother’ of the variety and Marion have grafted from her original vines back in 1994 from Trentino. It’s similar to a Zinfandel but with the Italian flair for acid, making it a superb food wine.

Marion Valpolicella Superiore 2014
Marion's winemaker has spent 15 vintages as Quintarelli's winemaker and now consults for Dal Forno as well. Superb pedigree of skill. This Superiore isnt your usual 'higher ABV' or 'Ripassa' style. Marion actually use 30% dried grapes in this cuvee, giving the wine some serious complexity. Chocolate with cherries, velvetly mouthfeel then a lovely spring of acid.
Michele Chiarlo, Nivole Moscato 2015 (Half Bottle-375ML)
A fragrant bouquet with marked notes of fresh fruit (peach and apricot), typical are the hints of clary and meringue. On entering the mouth it is smooth and delicate, the finish is characterised by fresh and lively notes that make it inviting and never nauseating.
Nino Negri, Sassella 'Le Tense' ( Valtellina) 2013

Nebbiolo grape : These vines are planted in some of the best crus in the Sassella subzone: Minè, Chiesa Sassella, Grigioni-Cà Binaca. The vines are trained with the arched variant of the Guyot system (3500 vines/hectare), on poor, stony, shallow soil, tending towards dryness, at a height of 400-450 metres. 6 tonnes of grapes were produced per hectare. A full flavour, smooth but well sustained, very tasty with great elegance and harmony. Pleasant undertones of prunes and persistent spices. 

Occhipinti, SP68 Frappato & Nero d'Avola 2013
Frappato is a local Sicilian red grape variety that always seems to yield wines loaded with fresh raspberry aromatics. Arianna’s Frappato is already legendary — and that status is very well deserved. The SP68 is a blend of Frappato and Nero di Avola. The SP68 name comes from a highway near Arianna’s home town of Vittoria.Arianna Occhipinti is from the Vittoria region of Southern Sicily. She has been making wine for ten years under the tutelage of her uncle, Giusto Occhipinti, who owns the well-known winery COS. She produces first rate wines from biodynamically grown local varieties such as Nero d’Avola and Frappato. In her mid-20s, Arianna already seems to know exactly what she wants to do with her life. She is the sort of driven young winemaker who is bound to be become an important figure in Sicilian wine.
Pala i fiore Vermentino 2016

This exuberant white opens with aromas of tropical fruit, ripe Packham pear and wild herb that carry through to the round, full-bodied palate. Fresh acidity brightens the rich flavors while a mineral note closes the finish.

Perlage Col di Manza Prosecco di Valdobiaddene Superiore 2016
1st certified biodymanic Prosecco in the region in 2005. In fact Perlage were the first organic producer in the region in 1985. Its an 'extra dry' style which actually means its a more fruity style confusingly. Most of the Prosecco's are made in the style. Lovely bubble bead and a very serious Prosecco, not just fun italian bubbles.
Pipoli, Aglianico del Vulture 2016
The estate vineyards are low trained and planted on volcanic soils on the slopes of Mount Vulture, at an altitude of up to 800 metres above sea level. According to the consultant winemaker Alberto Antonini, the area is isolated and uncontaminated, just like stepping back in time.Garnet red in colour. The nose has layered, highly complex aromas with hints of violets and cocoa. Full bodied, the wine has a sweet red fruit character with delicate oak nuances and persistent fruit notes through to the finish.
