Giuseppe Quintarelli Ca del Merlo 2010

The only single-vineyard bottling at Quintarelli, Cà del Merlo takes its name from the hill that rises beside the family house. It is an explosion of fragrant fruit, while the spices—usually enhanced by the ripassotechnique, typical of Valpolicella—remain more discreet. 55% Corvina and Corvinone, 30% Rondinella, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, Nebbiolo, Croatina, Sangiovese

Guigal Brune & Blonde Cote Rotie 2012

94 Points Bottled as a single blend in 2012, this has a fine, peppery edge to the nose with elegant dark-chocolate aromas ahead of brambly dark plums and black-cherry fruits. There's a wealth of richness and power here, and it's so layered and dense. A wine that shows a smooth build of fine and even tannin. The gentle pepperiness cracks into the finish, where there's another warm dark chocolate afterglow. This spent 36 months in oak, of which 50% was new. Best from 2018 and for at least a decade afterward. James Suckling

Guigal Condrieu 2015

95 Points Guigal’s 2015 Condrieu is a blockbuster that, if not for its big brother, would be one of the wines of the vintage. Aged in one-third new barrels and two-thirds in tank, it’s a rich, unctuous, thrillingly textured beauty that has plenty of orange blossom, flower oil, tangerine and peach. Fruit-loaded, with just a touch of minerality, it should be drunk over the coming 2-4 years. Robert Parkers Wine Advocate

Guigal Cote Rotie La Landonne 2013

97-99 Points The inky black-colored 2013 Côte Rôtie La Landonne is certainly one of the gems in the vintage, and it has more texture, depth and richness than just about every other wine out there. Charred fruits, black fruits, espresso, crushed rock and wood smoke all emerge from this full-bodied, concentrated Côte Rôtie that certainly shows a masculine style, yet still possesses incredible purity and elegance.
