Guigal Cote Rotie La Landonne 2013

97-99 Points The inky black-colored 2013 Côte Rôtie La Landonne is certainly one of the gems in the vintage, and it has more texture, depth and richness than just about every other wine out there. Charred fruits, black fruits, espresso, crushed rock and wood smoke all emerge from this full-bodied, concentrated Côte Rôtie that certainly shows a masculine style, yet still possesses incredible purity and elegance. Guigal Cote Rotie La Mouline 2013

97 Points An array of sweet-smelling spices and a green-ish pepper edge to the nose with plenty of dark plums, crushed dark violety florals and grilled raisin toast. The palate has smooth, sweeping tannins that build in waves of pastry-like, plush and velvety texture. Long blood plum and creamy espresso finish. Drink now and beyond. James Suckling

Guigal Cote Rotie La Turque 2013

98 Points A stunning, modern-styled version, with scintillating raspberry purée, plum confiture and blackberry reduction flavors gliding over velvety but copious tannins. Alluring warm ganache and fruitcake accents gild the finish, which sails on and on. Wine Spectator

Guigal La Mouline 2012
97 Points The 2012 Côte Rôtie La Mouline reminds me of the 2011 with its upfront, incredibly perfumed nose of spring flowers, cured meats, roasted herbs, olives and sweet cassis fruit. Full-bodied, beautifully textured, mouth-filling and already impossible to resist, it expands on the palate and I guarantee this beauty will put a smile on your face anytime over the coming two decades. Hellyers Road Distillery Peated Single Malt Whisky
Hellyers Road Distillery, situated on the picturesque northern Tasmanian coast line, was established in 1997 and is Australia's largest distiller of Australian single malt whisky. Named after Henry Hellyer who was one of the first explorers to set foot in the interior north of the then Van Dieman's Land. This 10 Year Old single malt whisky is Hellyers flagship product and is distilled from Tasmanian grown malted barley, pure rainwater and yeast. American White Oak barrels are used to mature this bespoke malt that delivers a smooth and balanced taste.

Aged in American Oak (ex-bourbon) and distilled using peated grain sourced from Inverness – Scotland, this single malt was recognised as the nation’s best at the Malt Whisky Society of Australia Awards for Excellence in 2010. True Scotch lovers will be in awe of this delightful Tasmanian crafted drop. A whiff of burnt fern smokiness greets the nose with typical hints of citrus, lemon and orange presenting through the haze. The palate is further complimented by a citrus sweetness with overtones of malt presenting. A lingering aftertaste conjures fresh forest regeneration with layers of smoke and pepper omnipresent.

Very deep crimson, with violet hues. Captivating briary blackberry and mulberry aromatics lead to alluring exotic five spice, star anise and black peppercorns, with herbaceous notes of thyme and dried basil and slight gamey hints. The palate has incredible length and purity, with a focused core of blackberry and plum fruit, wrapped by beautifully integrated layers of silky tannins and lingers endlessly with flavours of sage leaf and blackcurrant skin.
