Le Hameau des Ollieux ‘Lo Petit Fantet d’Hyppolite’ 2015

Located in Boutenac, just south of the village of Corbières in the Languedoc region, Ollieux Romanis is now one of the largest privately owned wineries in Corbières.

This certified Organic red is a blend of Carigan, Grenache and Syrah off 20 year old vines. Manual harvest, full carbonic maceration then fermentation with wild yeast in large concrete vats. Only natural yeast is used and no added sulphur.

Black cherry, thyme and wood-spice on the nose give way to soft fruit on the palate, with warming garrigues flavours. Plush, generous and VERY more-ish!

Le Monde Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso 2015

This native varietal coming from the picturesque hills of Friuli- Grave in Italy’s north east, is a beautifully bright and expressive with hints of musk on the nose and crunchy blue fruits and violet aromas.  Its fine and slippery tannins are a highlight.

Le Monde Ribolla Gialla 2015
Bright straw yellow. Characteristic intense and marked with floral nuances and a hint of grass. Fresh and elegant on the palate, with balanced acidity and sapidity, mineral aftertaste with good persistance. Excellent as an aperitif, goes well with soups, and savoury fish dishes.
Livio Felluga, Colli Orientali Pinot Grigio DOC 2016
Livio Felluga emigrated from Istria and established his property in Brazzano in the 1950s. Convinced of the winemaking potential inherent in Collio and the Colli Orientali of Friuli, he bucked the trend of the times and started buying vineyards. He now has an amazing property. Recently revitalised by Livio’s four children (Andrea, Maurizio, Elda and Filippo), the estate is well on the way to claiming its rightful place among the great producers in Italy.

Lopez de Heredia Vina Tondonia Reserva Rioja 2005
93 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate The 2005 Viña Tondonia Reserva is a blend of 70% Tempranillo, 20% Garnacho, 5% Graciano and 5% Mazuelo from their vineyards in the meander of the Ebro River, where they have some 100 hectares of vineyards. The wine fermented in the original oak vats that are now some 140 years of age. There is no temperature control and malolactic was also in the vat. The wine was transferred to oak barrels where it slowly matured in their deep, humid caves for no less than six years. After this, it was bottled unfiltered after being fined with egg whites. I think the quality gap between the Reserva and Gran Reserva has been getting smaller since the 2001 vintage and this 2005 is nothing short of exceptional. It's clean and complex, with more freshness. The wine is very spicy and with a palate that feels very balanced, livelier than in the past. It has a long finish where the flavors are clean. Easy to drink and very pleasurable.

Jancis Robinson Deep fox red. Similar to the 2004 but perhaps more open, richer and more intense with also more marked freshness -- less subtle but more forceful. Still all that lovely complexity and still many years to go because the tannins are even now pretty firm and chewy.

Louis Bouillot 'Perle de Vigne' Cremant de Bourgogne Magnum
With two Gold Medals and a stack of Silvers to boot, this will put a smile on your dial!

The perfect balance of sophistication and premium base wines make this a stand out French bubbles that over delivers on every measure. Flavours of vanilla, almond, toasted bread appear successively. A touch of honey and ginger bread with a long finish.

Louis Roederer, Brut Premier NV
The NV Brut Premier is a pretty, perfumed offering redolent of pears, greens apples and flowers. This medium-bodied, refined NV Champagne offers excellent length and a crisp, refreshing finish with notes of sweetness that linger on the close. The Brut Premier is unique among the estate’s wines in that it contains 20% Pinot Meunier in addition to the Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Roughly 30-40% of this wine undergoes malolactic fermentation.Wine Advocate # 180 89 Points Drink: 2008 - 2010
