Pierre et Papa Vin Extraordinaire Rouge d'Herault 2015

Grenache and Carignan blend

Beautiful flavours of red berries like raspberry and cassis, amplified with slightly minty notes. Smooth, round and full bodied on the fruity palate and some spicy notes in the finish.  

Inspired by the fanciful tales of Pierre Renard and his father, Pierre et Papa is a compact range of high quality, well-balanced whites, reds and rosés made from grapes sourced throughout Southern France.

The grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness, destemmed and divided into two lots. One undergoes the modern process of hot skin contact maceration. After that, the juice goes through cool temperature fermentation in stainless steel tanks. This procedure is carried out in order to extract and enhance the varietal’s aromatic qualities. The other lot is fermented traditionally on their skins for about ten days adding structure to the wine. At the end of the winemaking process both the modern and the traditional section are blended to a youthful and easy drinking wine.

Pierro Chardonnay 2017

"96 Points. Quite strong oak in this youthful, typical Margaret River chardonnay. A savoury, cashew-nutty wine. Lovely texture, softness and balance and an appetising aftertaste. Will reward cellaring and build more intricacies with a little more time. Huon Hooke, Gourmet Traveller Wine Magazine

Pierro, LTC Semillon Sauvignon Blanc Chardonnay 2017
"94/ 100. Another cracking good wine from Peterkin which in its vintage is sauvignon blanc dominant as a result of the season. The LTC component as always just a smidgeon of chardonnay to bring some texture into the palate, which it does so well. Such a distinctive expression of the blend from Margs and as always one of the very best. These cellar for a long time. Cellar: 10 years" - Ray Jordan, The West Australian Wine Guide 2018.
Pipoli, Aglianico del Vulture 2016
The estate vineyards are low trained and planted on volcanic soils on the slopes of Mount Vulture, at an altitude of up to 800 metres above sea level. According to the consultant winemaker Alberto Antonini, the area is isolated and uncontaminated, just like stepping back in time.Garnet red in colour. The nose has layered, highly complex aromas with hints of violets and cocoa. Full bodied, the wine has a sweet red fruit character with delicate oak nuances and persistent fruit notes through to the finish.
Pra Soave 2017
Pra is an excellent source for Soave, one of Northern Italy’s most compelling white wines. This wine is made from 100% Garganega farmed on hillside vineyards in the heart of the Soave zone.
Produttori del Barbaresco Montestefano Riserva 2009 Magnum
94 points Vinous 

The 2009 Barbaresco Riserva Montestefano brings together the best qualities of the vintage, with a solid core of intense fruit, expressive aromatics and a measure of tannic heft that will keep the wine fresh and vibrant for many years. Dark cherry, plum, spice and leather notes flesh out on the huge, voluptuous finish. In 2009, the Montestefano is fabulous.  (Tasted 10/2013)

Quinta do Noval Tawny
It has a more complex nose than the Ruby, showing youthful fruit with a raspberry character. On the palate It is medium sweet with a well balanced fruit and richness. Drink it slightly chilled as an aperitif or at room temperature with a dessert.
Radikon Oslavje Riserva Ivana 1997 Magnum
The 1997 Oslavje Riserva Ivana is an equally compelling white. It offers a touch more complexity than the Ribolla Riserva and perhaps a little more minerality as well. Sweet honeyed fruit, minerals, spices and flowers are just some of the nuances that emerge from this highly unusual white. Generally I prefer Radikon’s wines on the younger side, but as these two 1997 releases point out, the wines are capable of aging as well. The Oslavje Riserva Ivana is 40% Chardonnay, 40% Sauvignon and 20% Pinot Grigio aged in used French oak barrels, which Radikon has since abandoned for his whites.
