Lucien Le Moine Bourgogne Rouge 2015

Lucien Le Moine Nuits St Georges 1er Cru Les Saint Georges 2015

A very ripe yet attractively fresh nose combines liqueur-like aromas of red currant, spice, violet, earth and game. There is exceptionally good richness and volume to the concentrated, powerful and serious flavours that possess a driving minerality on the moderately austere, structured and remarkably persistent finale. This too is absolutely going to require a long snooze in a cool cellar but will reward those who dare! Burghound

Lucien Le Moine Pommard 1er Cru Les Grand Epenots 2015

A ripe, fresh and pure array is composed by notes of red and dark pinot fruit, plum and violet. There is a bit more volume and richness to the full-bodied and more powerful big-bodied flavours that manage to retain an appealing precision that carries over to the mouth coating, complex and solidly persistent finish. This concentrates the flavours and offers a truly unique blend of dark fruit flavours with warm spices. Marion Borgomarcellise Valpolicella 2016
Of course it's light on the nose, but decant and be patient, the wine builds and expresses itself beautifully both the aromas and body!! Very refined at this level, mature fruit, very smooth palate that has great balance. Drinks even better on day 2 if you have any left !

Marion Teroldego 2012

Rarer than hen's teeth is probably the best description. “Exceptionally rare Teroldego from Veneto…Standout imports include extraordinary Red Teroldego from Marion" - Max Allen, Gourmet Traveller Wine, June 2013.

Marion produce tiny amounts and sell out every year after release however the importer put some away on reserve for us lucky few. Elizabeth Foradori is the ‘Godmother’ of the variety and Marion have grafted from her original vines back in 1994 from Trentino. It’s similar to a Zinfandel but with the Italian flair for acid, making it a superb food wine.

Marion Valpolicella Superiore 2014
Marion's winemaker has spent 15 vintages as Quintarelli's winemaker and now consults for Dal Forno as well. Superb pedigree of skill. This Superiore isnt your usual 'higher ABV' or 'Ripassa' style. Marion actually use 30% dried grapes in this cuvee, giving the wine some serious complexity. Chocolate with cherries, velvetly mouthfeel then a lovely spring of acid.
