Bink 'Paperman' Cabernet Franc 2022
The Wine
100% Cabernet Franc. 90% of the fruit was sourced from the Watkins Vineyard in Langhorne Creek, with the balance from Sellicks Hill in McLaren Vale. Over both sites the soils are rich in limestone, loam, gravel, clay, stone and sand. Both parcels were picked on the same day in early March. The Langhorne Creek fruit was 100% destemmed and pressed to French hogsheads when dry. The McLaren Vale fruit was 90% destemmed and pressed to a mixture of French hogsheads and ceramic egg. The parcels were blended a month before being bottled in late January. Super easy going/smash-able wine. Bright, pretty and a lot of sunshine in a glass. Can served chilled or at room temperature.
