It has a southwest orientation and lies on Kimmeridgian soils (as opposed to the higher Portlandian soils on which most Petit is grown).

Half of the plot is home to 25- to 30-year-old vines, while the other half is somewhat older at 45 to 50 years. The wine fermented spontaneously in large vats of 32 to 100 hectolitres. This wine possesses a surprising, though welcome, gravitas and charisma for a Petit Chablis. It is always a pleasure to taste what mature vines and quality, organic-focused farming can create at this level.

'Hmm – there’s a fine mineral depth here – that’s very encouraging – I’d carafe to open a little more. The estate tends some prime parcels around the village, with an emphasis on old vines and careful vineyard work that lets the Kimmeridgian limestone soils shine through. The result is Chablis with precision and a subtle depth that keeps people coming back.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0616/4211/3208/files/4DE27032-269F-4EF9-8E69-19FDF2E61976.jpg?v=1780369664
