The Wine

There is a lactic hint to the lightly reduced nose so I would recommend giving this some air first. There is excellent density and intensity to the middleweight flavors that conclude in a chiseled, youthfully austere and lemony finish. This is awkward but I suspect that the recent bottling has upset the balance and my rating offers the benefit of the doubt. Outstanding 87 Points, Allen Meadows, Burghound.com

About the Wine Maker

Domaine Etienne Sauzet, established in the 1920s is today one of the most important producers of white wine in all Burgundy. The growth of the domaine is an interesting story of the restrictive and prescriptive nature of the uniquely French inheritance laws. Today wine is made from estate grown grapes as well as must acquired from likeminded producers.
