The Wine

Named after Sabatino Lulli, also known as "Sabazio," a monk from the Montepulciano Abbey who provided the earliest instructions for producing wine from local varieties, Sabazio Vino Rosso di Montepulciano embodies the region's heritage. This wine combines the freshness of traditional Sangiovese with the lively aromas typical of Merlot, offering a distinctive expression of the ancient Montepulciano lands.

About the Wine Maker

The Tenuta Braccesca in Montepulciano was purchased by Marchesi Antinori in 1990 and consists of vineyards between the towns of Montepulciano and Cortona with a further holding situated in the prime Montepulciano real estate of Cervognano, Graciano and Santa Pia. The local clone of Sangiovese is Prugnolo Gentile.
