Two of them, long-time companions from neighboring regions, are Roditis Alepou from the mountainous Aigialeia at about 1000 meters altitude, and Moschofilero from the Arcadian plateau, harmoniously combined across Peloponnesian wineries. The third, the now cosmopolitan Assyrtiko from Santorini, raised in true Peloponnesian style, was added to bring exactly what was missing: strength, length, and depth. Perfect with medium- to high-intensity cuisine, or simply enjoyed on its own as an aperitif—always best in good company.

The Details
Variety - Roditis, Moschofilero, Assyrtiko
Country - Greece
Region - Nemea
Extra - Screw Cap
Year - 2024
Volume -750ml

About the Wine Maker

Gaia Wines resulted from a partnership between Agronomist Leon Karatsolas and one of Greece's leading wine figures, Yiannis Paraskevopoulos. The duo began their venture in Santorini in 1994, producing a thousand cases of modern, clean OPAP Santorini white. Having met with immediate success, the pair built a state of the art winery in Koutsi, Upper Nemea in 1997. While they still produce superior Santorini, Agiorgitiko is currently their leading card. A proposed super appellation for Upper Nemea would put their vineyards in the most coveted zone in the country. Now, with several vintages of one of Greece's most highly-rated red wines under their belts, Gaia now produces 30,000 cases per year. GREEK WINEMAKERS.COM

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0616/4211/3208/files/FD35084E-CFF7-43B3-AAE5-A66BBD45C8F1.jpg?v=1772868054
