Much of it dates back hundreds of years, built with stones salvaged from a nearby monastery demolished after the French Revolution, and beneath lies one of the largest underground cellars in this part of Burgundy. True to their style, it’s less about grandeur and more about creating something to last.

What makes Le Grappin so fascinating is that Andrew and Emma didn’t arrive with generations of tradition weighing on them—they came as students. Without family vineyards dictating their path, they followed curiosity, uncovering exceptional vineyards overlooked in the pursuit of prestige. Their wines are all about nuance, with a quiet beauty that continues to define Le Grappin today.

I am good friends with Andrew & Emma having meet them through Domaine Dandelion, in fact from time to time during Vintage I’ve given them a hand when required and attended the odd party at their place....
