The Wine
Grapes are harvested from the untamed terrain of Pays Cathare, encircling the towns of Carcassonne and Limoux, known for its argilo-calcaire soils. The region enjoys a unique advantage due to its favorable geographic and climatic conditions; the warm Mediterranean sun is moderated by the altitude and the cool nights typical of the Pyrenees' foothills. This wine, with 75% handpicked and 25% machine-harvested grapes, has been fermented in sizable, aged oak barrels.
Bright ruby red in color, this wine boasts upfront aromas of freshly picked raspberries complemented by a savory leesiness. On the palate, fleshy red fruits are accompanied by fine tannins and juicy acidity, the hallmarks of a distinguished Pinot Noir - Great value!
