The Wine
91 Points, Antonio Galloni, Vinous Media ''The 2021 Langhe Nebbiolo is another terrific wine from Scavino. It shows good depth and plenty of intensity. Readers will find a Nebbiolo redolent of dark red cherry, dried herb, cedar, mint, licorice and incense. The 2021 will delight readers.''

About the Wine Maker
Paolo Scavino established the estate in 1921 in the historic township of Barolo, Castiglione Falletto, in the heart of the Langhe region in Piemont. The estate is owned and managed by two generations of Scavino; Enrico who followed in the footsteps of his father Paolo, and his daughters Enrica and Elisa. The modern history of the Scavino family starts with a vineyard known in the local dialect as Bric dël Fiasc within the Fiasco cru. Here the Nebbiolo grapes yield consistently great wines. In 1978 young Enrico convinced his father Paolo to vinify these grapes separately. In this way this much sought-after cru was established and it has since risen to the summit of Barolo.
'Enrico Scavino and his daughters Elisa and Enrica stand out from their peers for their never-ending search for quality. Scavino is one of the great, established families in Piedmont.'' Antonio Galloni, Vinous Media
