About the Wine Maker 
Acquired by the Marchesi Antinori family in 1995, the Pian Delle Vigne estate is located 6km to the South of the town of Montalcino and consists of 184 hectares of land of which 65 are planted with vines and the remainder with olive groves and woodland. The stony, clay and limestone soils are planted entirely too various Sangiovese clones on elevations between 180 and 250 metres above sea level.
