Spring Seed 'Poppy' Pinot Grigio 2022
We aim for the Italian rendition of this variety when it comes to making ‘Poppy’. We want light and fresh rather than weighty and unctuous. As such, we pick early and at night and ferment the grapes in stainless steel tanks, making sure we keep the grapes cool to help retain flavour and acidity. ‘Poppy’ does not spend any time in oak at all. Spring Seed Wines
On the 2021 Vintage : Poppy is light and fresh, with a gentle hint of nashi pear and citrus, and a clean smooth palate and finish. It is superb when served chilled as an aperitif or with light pasta dishes and mild cheeses. Spring Seed Wines

Spring Seed Wines are made from grapes lovingly grown in the Bosworth family’s organic vineyards, located in the premium wine region of McLaren Vale, South Australia.
The labels are unashamedly inspired by vintage flower seed packets created at the turn of the century. The colour, clarity and beauty of the original seed packets are quite remarkable.
The vineyards were established in the early 1970s by Peter and Anthea Bosworth, and are now owned and run by their son Joch (and partner Louise Hemsley-Smith), who began the conversion to organic viticulture in 1995.
The vines are fully certified ‘A’ grade organic by Australian Certified Organic, a process that takes four years and involves yearly audits and random sampling of produce. Joch Bosworth also makes Battle of Bosworth wines using grapes from our organically grown and certified vineyards.
