The Wine

90-92 Points Burghound '(from a 1 ha holding in Montmains proper). Here the wood influence is more evident though certainly not intrusive on the cooler aromas of white flowers, various citrus elements and just enough Chablis typicity to be persuasive. There is both good volume and richness allied to a lovely sense of refinement on the middleweight flavors that exude a subtle bead of minerality that serves to add a
sense of lift on the slightly firmer, clean and dry finale.'

About the Wine Maker

The Laroche family has been making wine in Chablis since 1850. Michel Laroche, the fifth generation, arrived in 1967 to continue a long tradition of allowing the wine to express its unique origin: The True Chablis. Michel has witnessed significant changes in Chablis and is the first generation to make a living exclusively from producing and selling wine.

Domaine Laroche is one of the largest vineyard owners in Burgundy, with offices located in the birthplace of Chablis: a ninth to sixteenth century listed monastery called l’Obédiencerie, where monks made the first Chablis.
