The Wine

 90 Pts Kasia Sobiesiak, Winefront 'Apple, lemon, pear and white nectarine. Quite subtle nose, nothing wrong with that. The acidity perception is high even though it’s a ‘half-dry’ style (11.2g/L RS). Refreshment and appeal come in the form of sweet-sour green apple and lime with sugar, or ripe pomelo. Good balance of simple pleasures. Match with spicy food comes to mind, and well-chilled.'

About the Wine Maker

Rauen, replete with invigorating energy and purity. The well established property boasts first-rate sites along the Mosel, with organically managed vines rooted in light slate soils.  The winery is located in Thörnich, with land holdings in Detzemer Maximiner Klosterlay, Detzemer Würzgaten, and Thörnicher Ritsch. Four generations of the family actively participate in the winemaking process.
