Lacoste Borie (Grand Puy Lacoste 2nd Vin) 2019
The Wine
62% Cabernet Sauvignon, 29% Merlot, and 9% Cabernet Franc.
92 Pts Falstaff 'Dark ruby garnet, opaque core, purple reflections, delicate edge brightening. Subtle hints of cocoa, ripe dark cherries, blackberry confit, inviting bouquet. Juicy, elegant, sweet fruit, ripe plums, round tannins, fresh acidity, already developed and stimulating to drink, versatile.'
90 Pts William Kelley, Wine Advocate 'The 2019 Lacoste-Borie is a wine of immense charm. Wafting from the glass with aromas of cassis, liquorice and sweet spices, loamy soil and cigar wrapper, it’s medium to full-bodied, fleshy and seamless, with ripe tannins, succulent acids and a round, giving profile.'

About the Wine Maker
The second wine of Château Grand-Puy-Lacoste beautifully showcases the charm of the Pauillac region. This family-owned estate has been in the hands of the Borie family since 1978, with François-Xavier Borie restoring its prestige while preserving its character.
Nestled in the heart of Pauillac, one of Médoc’s six communal appellations along the left bank of the Gironde estuary, the estate spans 90 hectares, with 58 dedicated to vines entirely surrounding the château. Today, the vineyard boasts a perfect balance of young and old vines, averaging 38 years in age.
