About the Wine Maker
Nanny Goat Vineyard is named after the wild goats that roam the mountainous terrain of Central Otago. Both the name and vineyard came about in 2004, and within a year the first vintage of Pinot Noir was released. Along with Pinot Noir, their vineyards located in Pisa, Bannockburn and Queensberry, also produce premium Chardonnay and Syrah.
Alan Peters-Oswald is the winemaker at Nanny Goat Vineyard. Alan believes that as a winemaker it is his job to make wines that interpret the beauty of their unique place of origin, the individual sites from which their fruit is sourced, and the quality of the fruit used. The wines created at Nanny Goat Vineyard do just that, each wine incorporates mineral, floral and herbal notes, and always with a fine streak of acidity to keep things bright and balanced.
