The Royal Tokaji Wine Company Blue Label Aszu 5 Puttonyos 2018 250ml
The Wine
This dessert wine from Tokaj, Hungary, is a beautifully balanced 5 puttonyos now enjoyed worldwide. Crafted from Royal Tokaji’s first-growth Nyulászó vineyard, it sets the standard for quality. Made with the classic aszú blend of Furmint, Hárslevelű, and Muscat de Lunel grapes, it offers an intense nose rich with botrytis. On the palate, expect vibrant flavors of lime, citrus, and peach, with a perfect balance of richness, zesty acidity, and a long, elegant finish. Enjoy it now or let it age gracefully for future pleasure. Perfect as an aperitif, paired with fruit desserts or hard cheeses, or simply savored on its own. Best served slightly chilled.
94 Pts James Suckling 'Attractive nose of dried apricots, candied plums and hints of tea leaves and vanilla. Medium- to full-bodied with vivid acidity and a dense, creamy texture. It shows chocolate bitterness at the end. Very long and textural, with a lot of delicious fruit upfront. Drink or hold.'
