Vasse Felix Heytesbury Chardonnay 2024
The Wine
A rare collector's wine from Vasse Felix's most significant vineyard plots!
99 Pts Ray Jordan, WA Wine Review 'An extraordinary wine of tension, energy and power… These wines have certainly become slightly more generous in recent years and allow the full expression of the Gingin clone from these distinct sites. It’s another outstanding wine. Dare I say it, but this could be the finest HEYTESBURY yet.”
98 Pts Jeni Port, The Wine Pilot '… In the glass, the vintage delivers one hell of a chardonnay: rich, complex and yet finely balanced. It could balance on
a pin such is the wine’s near perfect composition and keenly detailed acidity… The stage is set for one exciting HEYTESBURY Chardonnay production.'
98 Pts Andrew Caillard, The Vintage Journal 'Pale colour… underlying saline / crunchy acidity. Super long and tangy at the finish, giving the wine freshness and mineral length. Will develop further with bottle age. A reference Margaret River Chardonnay.'
97 Pts Erin Larkin, Robert Parker Wine Advocate '… What a superstar wine… This wine, it also bears noting, is brilliant every single vintage. The wines are reflective
of the year and the sites, but more than that, they speak of the purity, drive and power inherent in Margaret River Chardonnay. They are an asset to Australian wine.'

About the Wine Maker
Vasse Felix was founded in 1967 by Dr Tom Cullity, whose early Cabernet Sauvignon proved Margaret River could produce serious wine. The estate is still family‑owned and now spans four carefully selected vineyard sites, with Cabernet at its core and strong expressions of Chardonnay, Shiraz, and Sauvignon Blanc–Semillon. Since 2006, Chief Winemaker Virginia Willcock has shaped the wines with a wild‑ferment, low‑intervention approach that has become influential across the region. Her Cabernets and Chardonnays are widely considered among Australia’s best. More than 50 years on, Vasse Felix continues to lead Margaret River’s evolution rather than relying on its pioneering past.
