The Wine
100% Sangiovese from vines ranging in age from 12 to 22 years old with maturation taking place in French oak for a few months. Rich red currant and red cherry fruits show excellent intensity and flesh across the mid weighted palate with earthy dried herb, tobacco and spice characters also chiming in.

Medium-bodied, the palate is elegant but also has a light gamey richness underneath, with ripe tannins, a chalky (almost liver-like texture), and a clean finish. The acidity is more modest in this charming, easygoing wine.'
