Bouchard Les Suchots 1er Cru Vosne-Romanee 2014
The Wine
Due in store mid Sept 2025
91- 93 Pts Stephen Tanzer, Vinous '(aged almost entirely in one-year-old barrels, mostly from Chassin): Bright red-ruby. Dark raspberry, dark chocolate, medicinal clove, licorice and spices on the nose, complicated by cinnamon and blond tobacco nuances. Plush, round and seamless, showing lovely subtle spicy depth and a hint of chocolate to the very pure, inviting flavors of raspberry, mocha and minerals. Silky and aromatic in the mouth in spite of its obvious oakiness, and smooth on the finish. There's a good bit of Pinot Beurot here; Bouchard used to eliminate it from this wine but Weber is now including it for greater complexity.'
