92 Pts Outstanding Allen Meadows, Burghound 'A more deeply pitched and slightly riper yet still fresh and spicy nose also freely reveals its aromas of plum, dark currant and black cherry. There is fine volume and a beautiful mouthfeel to the sappy and palate coating medium-bodied flavors that conclude in a dusty, compact, moderately austere and built-to-age finale. This is also lovely though a wine that's going to require at least some patience as it's quite tightly wound today.'

About the Wine Maker
Domaine Blain-Gagnard was formed when Jean-Marc Blain married Claudine Gagnard, daughter of Jacques and Josephe Gagnard and granddaughter of Edmond Delagrange, resulting in a union steeped in Burgundian heritage. This husband-and-wife team run the domaine, now with the help of their son Marc-Antonin, who has returned from France after spending time in the vineyards of Australia and New Zealand.
