Domaine Seguinot Bordet Chablis 2025
The Wine
The 2025 vintage bursts with lively energy, fragrant fruit, and refreshing brightness. The vines thrive in Chablis’ renowned Kimmeridgian soils, a mix of limestone and fossil-rich marl formed by an ancient sea. This unique terroir lends the wine its signature blend of citrus, chalk, and gentle salinity.
Pale straw with green tinges, the aroma opens on lemon zest, green apple, and white peach, accented by citrus blossom and a hint of oyster shell. With time, notes of grapefruit, fresh almond, and wet chalk emerge. The palate is crisp and well-defined, with crunchy orchard fruit and zesty citrus lifted by vibrant acidity. A delicate chalky texture unfolds mid-palate, leading to a clean, mouthwatering finish of lemon peel, green apple, and a whisper of sea spray.
VINTAGE 2023 REVIEW
89-91 Pts 'Outstanding Top Value' Allen Meadows, Burghound ' Here there is more evident Chablis typicity to the aromas of Granny Smith apple, lemon confit and plenty of iodine character. In the same fashion, there is slightly more volume and richness to the medium-bodied flavors that are underpinned by both minerality and an attractive tension, all wrapped in a chalky, saline and sneaky long finish. This is also very good for its level and worth checking out.'
