Eperosa Magnolia Shiraz 2023
The Wine
This Shiraz is crafted from the dry-grown, organically and regeneratively farmed Magnolia Vineyard in Vine Vale, Barossa Valley. Spread across three blocks planted in 1986, 2010, and 2017, the vines thrive on deep alluvial granitic sands at elevations of 305–335m. The grapes are handpicked and entirely hand-destemmed, with the wine basket pressed and aged for 20 months in a mix of French oak puncheons and hogsheads. It bursts with rich red and black fruits, complemented by layers of char, violet, peppered meat, soy, fig, and mineral notes. The palate is lively and juicy, offering plush fruit, silky-sandy tannins, and a smooth, refined finish.

About the Wine Maker
Brett Grocke - EPEROSA : I'm a 6th generation Barossan living here with my beautiful partner Megan, son Arthur and winery dog Frankie.
In the 1840's my forefathers planted vineyards and started making wine adjacent Jacob's Creek in the sub region of Krondorf, Barossa Valley. Our family has owned and farmed vineyards here in every generation since.
The vineyards we now farm are not our original family vineyards but ones we acquired in 2013. With these vines I look forward to adding another chapter to our Barossa grape and wine story.
