The Wine

The grapes for this cuvée come from different plots in Mâcon-Prissé, Mâcon-Davayé, Mâcon-Fuissé, Mâcon-Lugny and Mâcon-Loché, which stretch from the north to the south of the appellation, all of which benefit from south and southeast exposures. The grapes are harvested by hand and sorted again at the winery. The slow and cool fermentation takes place with the natural yeasts in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The aging takes place for about 6-7 months on the lees, also in steel tanks.

This wine glistens in a pale golden hue. The bouquet is dominated by scents of green apple, citrus, hints of peach, and white blossoms. On tasting, it presents a harmonious balance, freshness, characteristic apple notes, touches of citrus, a subtle saline minerality, and a vibrant acidity. Organically grown. Tremendous value here!

About the Wine Maker

The Famille Paquet estate, nestled in the village of Davayé within the southern reaches of the Mâconnais region, marks the southernmost boundary of Burgundy. Founded in 1980 by Jocelyne and Michel Paquet under the original name Domaine des Valanges, the estate is now under the stewardship of their sons Jean-Baptiste, Mathieu (pictured above), and Camille. Embracing the family's heritage, the new generation has shifted towards a more natural approach to winemaking, adhering to organic principles. Their progression to organic viticulture has been steady, culminating in full certification. As fervent proponents of the Mâconnais terroirs, the brothers are united in their mission to produce outstanding Burgundy wines that remain accessible to all.
