Foreign Friends 'Virginia' Pinot Blanc 2024
The Wine
Fermented and aged in a mix of stainless-steel tanks, concrete eggs and old oak barrels. Bottled at the end of August. This Pinot Blanc has a pretty nose with notes of blossom and nectarine, lovely acidity and lots of texture.
93 Pts Mike Bennie, The Wine Front ‘From King Valley. I am really excited about this project. I love this slip and slide, the gloss of texture, an inherent lime-tonic water thing going on with Real Lemonade, faint ginger notes, distinct lime and hazy apple juice. In this, a faint natural yoghurt character lending piquancy and lactic tang, pretty in that way. Overall, a medium weight and super attractive white wine with depth and charisma on hand.’

About the Wine Maker
Born over a love of wine, travel and friendship, Foreign Friends is a collaboration between sisters Leila and Crystal and close French friend Juliette - who meet a decade ago doing Vintage in Beechworth.
Fast forward, their collab has resulted in their inaugural release of some of smashing Beechworth and King Valley vinous expressions. These are super impressive vins and we’ve selected their white bottlings to bring in store. The team popped in recently based on what we tasted, the wines are top notch!
