About the Wine Maker 
In Sardinia, the name Dolianova has long been tied to the production of fine wines. Evidence of winemaking here goes back over a thousand years, as shown by Nuraghic artifacts like jugs and wine presses discovered in the area. Cantine di Dolianova was founded in 1949 to carry on and promote this tradition. Back then, Sardinia was still very behind the times, and the island looked quite different from today. A group of wine growers came together to form a cooperative, determined to better promote the fruits of their labor and unite their individual efforts. Over the last 70 years, the Cantine’s values have been easily passed down from father to son: love for the land, passion for the vines, and a constant drive to improve in pursuit of superior quality wine. Today, just as in the past, we work to offer those who enjoy our labels the very best of Sardinian vineyards.
