The Wine

Predominantly Sangiovese, sourced from vines aged 45 years and some even over a century, complemented by small amounts of Canaiolo and Colorino, representing some of the grape's purest expressions. The estate is dedicated to minimal intervention and extended aging to enhance the wine's textural tannins and fruit while preserving its freshness. This early release, crafted entirely in stainless steel, offers a unique chance to experience the unadulterated fruit. Antonio and his nephew Davide have opted out of using chestnut barrels or concrete in this process.

Bio-Dynamic / Demeter Certified

About the Wine Maker

The Casale estate is situated on a hill near the village of San Gimignano, adjacent to the Chianti regions at the heart of the area. The farm's heritage dates back to 1770, and there is some speculation that it may have been established as early as the year 1000. It cultivates Organic and Biodynamic Tuscan varietals such as Sangiovese, Ciliegiolo, Trebbiano, and Canaiolo.
