The Wine
This is a single Cru in Barbaresco that gives the winery its name. Since 1993, the grapes have been supplied to the renowned producer Bruno Giacosa, who regarded the Roccalini Cru's grapes as among the finest in the entire Barbaresco region.
The 2019 Barbaresco is playful expression, strawberries and cream lift from the glass. The label is a visual descriptor of the aroma: Roses! Complexity builds as it opens. Mid-weight and a comforting plumpness - fine long even tannins give this vini great flow. Easy drinking straight out of the gate!

About the Wine Maker 
The charming wine journey of Cascina Roccalini began in 2004, when Paolo Veglio, a young but skilled winemaker, decided to craft wine independently with guidance from Dante Scaglione (a longtime winemaker for Bruno Giacosa). Today, Paolo produces just over 10,000 bottles annually, focusing on a small, artisanal production that remains true to his personal and traditional style.
