The Wine
Second Label of Chateau Coutet
92 Points. Peter Moser, Falstaff.com 'Medium golden yellow, silver reflections. Ripe yellow tropical fruit, roasted pineapple, fresh apricots, candied orange zest, an inviting bouquet. Quite powerful, juicy, with a fine fruit sweetness, a discreet acidity, honey on the finish, lingering, sweet apricots on the finish, good ageing potential.'

About the Wine Maker
Château Coutet, a Premier Cru Classé (French: First Growth) sweet wine, hails from the Sauternes-Barsac appellation in Barsac, situated in the southern region of Bordeaux's vineyards in France. As one of the oldest vineyards producing Sauternes, Château Coutet is nestled between the Garonne and Ciron rivers, enjoying a microclimate with autumn mists that are essential for the development of Botrytis cinerea. The vineyard spans 38 hectares, planted with 75% Sémillon, 23% Sauvignon Blanc, and 2% Muscadelle grape varieties.
