Chateau Chasse-Spleen 2018
The Wine
The wine is typically matured in oak barriques (40% new) for 18 months and bottled unfiltered. Chasse-Spleen wines are typically deeply-coloured and full-bodied, displaying oodles of ripe, black fruit, mineral and sometimes hints of chocolate.
45% Cabernet sauvignon, 40% Merlot, 10% Petit Verdot and 5% Cabernet Franc.
92 Points Jane Anson, Decanter 'Thoroughly enjoyable, with the high powered black fruit and smoked oak that is a signature of Chasse-Spleen and that gives huge promise as to how well this wine will age. 5% Cabernet Franc completes the blend.
