Chateau La Fleur Pourret St Emilion Grand Cru 2016
The Wine
54% Merlot, 40% Franc, 6% Cabernet Franc. Aged from 15 to 18 months with 90% of one-year barrels and 10% of new barrels. All seasoned barrels come from Chateau Figeac.
Poised and polished Bordeaux, a linear and velvety red that can be enjoyed imminently. There's drive and acidity behind the plum and blackcurrant elements, and a general feeling of class and sophistication. The tannins are composed and integrated with no oak evident (very little new oak used).
