The Wine

Didier Dagueneau set the standard for exceptional Sauvignon Blanc in the upper Loire, and the estate that carries his name keeps his legacy alive through organic and biodynamic farming and precise winemaking. Blanc Etc. is the domaine’s more approachable cuvée, offering a great introduction to its style.

Fresh, rich, and unexpectedly lush for a Sauvignon Blanc, it bursts with aromas of pear, elderflower, grapefruit, and cut grass, accented by chalk, candied mint, and a smoky, struck-flint note. The palate is textured and mineral-driven, with bright acidity and an impressively long finish.

This pure, distinctive white pairs beautifully with oysters, shellfish, grilled fish, salads, and goat cheese.

About the Wine Maker

Didier Dagueneau is a legend who reshaped the world’s view of Sauvignon Blanc. With uncompromising vineyard work, low yields, and an obsession with expressing terroir, he turned Loire Sauvignon into wines with remarkable depth, texture, and ageing potential. Today, his son Louis-Benjamin Dagueneau carries on the same careful, detail-driven approach in both the vineyard and the cellar.
