Domaine Blain Gagnard Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru Caillerets 2024
The Wine
93 Pts Allen Meadows, Burghound '(from Vigne Derrière). A vague whiff of the exotic can be found on the cool aromas of citrus confit, white pea, jasmine tea and poached pear. There is excellent volume and first-rate intensity to the overtly stony medium weight flavors that terminate in a bone-dry, balanced and chiseled finale. Like several of the prior wines, this too needs to develop more depth but that should just be a matter of exercising some patience. 2032+.'

About the Wine Maker
Domaine Blain-Gagnard was formed when Jean-Marc Blain married Claudine Gagnard, daughter of Jacques and Josephe Gagnard and granddaughter of Edmond Delagrange, resulting in a union steeped in Burgundian heritage. This husband-and-wife team run the domaine, now with the help of their son Marc-Antonin, who has returned from France after spending time in the vineyards of Australia and New Zealand.
