The Wine

The 2023 is refined and stylish, featuring lanolin and orange-blossom aromas layered over green apple, citrus, and a hint of spice. Its bright acidity creates a lively, mineral-driven palate, while fruit from young Pommard vines and old Meursault vines adds texture and depth.

About the Wine Maker

The 9-hectare Domaine Comte Armand produces the esteemed monopoly Clos des Epeneaux, along with wines from plots in Volnay and Auxey-Duresses. Clos des Epeneaux is a stunning five-hectare parcel acquired by Nicolas Marey at the end of the 18th century. The vineyards are certified organic and farmed biodynamically. Paul Zinetti took over winemaking in 2014, later succeeded by Australian Jane Eyre, whose first vintage will be in 2026.
