Very sophisticated with excellent concentration. Fantastic graceful texture on the quite sleek and focused medium-bodied palate. Very long, clean and cool finish. From organically grown grapes. 90 points William Kelley, Robertparker.com 'Aromas of citrus zest, white flowers and oyster shell introduce the 2022 Ladoix Les Marnes Blanches, a medium-bodied, taut and chalky wine with a tangy spine of acidity and a saline finish. It's one of the insider's choices chez Faiveley. Jérôme Flous and his team have produced another compelling range of 2022s, and it's hardly surprising, given the high level of vineyard management chez Faiveley or the skill and precision brought to bear in the winery and the cellar. As is often the case up and down the Côte d'Or, the style is more delicate and sensual than was the case in 2020, and the wines seem set to offer broad drinking windows.'

A beautiful wine, a baby Corton Blanc if you like! Needs a fair bit of air/decant at this stage to open up all its delights - will age nicely. Drinks a treat over a few days for those who have multiple bottles on the go :> TC

About the Wine Maker

It was Guy Faiveley who in 1964 decided to expand the vineyard holdings of Domaine Faiveley into the Côte Chalonnaise mainly in the Village of Mercurey, The main reason for the purchase was to be able to offer good value wines from Burgundy since already back then the wines from the Côte de Nuits and the Côte de Beaune were expensive! Mercurey is mainly a red appellation but there is a small amount of Mercurey Blanc made from Chardonnay both on village and premier cru sites.
