2024 Review
96 Pts Cameron Douglas MS 'Fantastic bouquet with scents and flavours of sand and clay, spice and dark berry fruits. Dried raspberry and boysenberry, layers with smoky wood and clove, plum and violets. There’s a wild dried herb quality and as the wine opens out the intensity and complexity of each flavours grows. A dry wine with firm tannins, lots of polish and energy, acidity carries all the flavours keep the palate engaged throughout. Lengthy and complex a wine to savour when young and older. Best drinking from as early as today through 2038+.'
95 Pts Stephen Wong, The Real Review 'Perfumed and expressive with chalky tannins and a bony structure which provides elegance and restraint on the palate. Red and black berry fruit at the core, flanked by some savoury, dried plum notes on one side and fresh wild thyme on the other. Light to mid-weight in style, a bit of warm spice at the back but lacy and long. Drink: 2025-2038.'

About the Wine Maker
Felton Road Wines Ltd, located in Bannockburn, Central Otago, New Zealand, boasts some of the world's southernmost vineyards. The phrase "growing on the edge" truly applies here, with Central Otago experiencing the lowest rainfall and coldest temperatures of any agricultural region in the country.
Felton Road firmly believes that wine quality begins in the vineyard, taking every possible step to ensure grapes of exceptional quality reach the winery.
Since their first vintage in 1997, Felton Road wines have soared to the top of critics' lists, earning accolades such as Stunning Debut, Best New Winery, and Pinot Noir of the Year. Winemaker Blair Walter credits this success to Central Otago’s unique soil and climate, the north-facing hillside vineyard, meticulous vine care, and his own extensive experience and skill. In 2000, Nigel Greening purchased Felton Road, having already cultivated a strong passion for Central Otago Pinot Noir through his Cornish Point Vineyard.
