The Wine
91-93 points – Burghound, Sweet Spot – Outstanding ““Here too moderate wood sets off the airy, cool and pure essence of dark currant, just turned earth and a whisper of crushed fennel. There is excellent underlying tension to the solidly delineation and mineral-driven medium weight flavors that deliver fine depth and persistence on the slightly more structured finale. This highly refreshing effort is going to need some patience to realize its considerable development potential."

About the Wine Maker
Francois and Isabelle Lumpp own this frankly amazing small domaine in Givry south of Beaune and for the those in the know it's so much more than it AOP title. So often the collector and sommelier dismiss the wines of Givry vs their royal counterparts in Cote. Francois inherited his families vineyards in the late 1970s and then started his own label in 1991. He is focused entirely on the best premier cru sites of Givry. Givry so often confused with its more famous brother Gevry in the Cote d'Or but can produce stunning wines of structure and finesse, particularly when handled by Francois.
